Chapter Two: Daydream Made
After spending two years exploring local markets, a few retail consignment locations, and the challenging world of Etsy, we took a leap of faith in 2024 and signed a contract with The Bristol Bazaar as a full time vendor. We had thought we had experienced a significant degree of support in our community beforehand but we were quickly made aware that we had only just scratched the surface of what our small business could become as we found a home as part of this new community of talented makers and small business owners.
Our experience in 2024 at The Bristol Bazaar, still paired with in person events, became transformative for our business and our family. We were often left speechless by the incredible support we received and love for our products. We began to shatter previous records and accomplish milestones we never imagined.
Jeff and I knew that we wanted to better represent our full collection of products, as well as our brand image within the community, before we continued to grow further. I loved “Taylor Martone Art”, but I also knew we had outgrown the name. We began to brainstorm ideas for a rebrand that would capture our current progress and all that could still become.
Why change the name?
“Taylor Martone Art” began during my maternity leave in 2022. I created this space with one simple idea: to share my artwork with others.
With added ideas from my husband, Jeff, we soon began exploring ways to bring art to life through a variety of products. While art and design remained a pillar of our work, we were simultaneously improving production, product quality, and product variety. As a result of these efforts, and your support over the past three years, we have significantly grown and evolved.
With this growth came an expansion of products, materials, techniques, and ideas for the future of our business. We knew we wanted a name and brand that captures all we have become - and all we hope to continue to evolve into.
This space began with original artwork and that will always remain a part of who we are. Original artwork by Taylor Martone is not going anywhere and will remain a part of Daydream Made, amongst other collections of products you love.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for loving “Taylor Martone Art” in the ways you have. Our growth, and these changes, are only possible because you did. We hope you will love Daydream Made even more.
Why "Daydream Made"?
When choosing a name we felt better represented our brand, it was important to us that it still represented who we are and the stories behind all that we do.
Daydream Made originated from our daughter, Lila’s, love for the sun and moon. Routinely, Lila will look up to the sky in her first steps outside to look for the moon. Consequently, I can no longer look at the moon without thinking of her. I used to say my artwork was created in the “moments between late night feeds and daytime naps” while on maternity leave. Everything I created with “Taylor Martone Art” had begun with Lila, and whichever name we decided on for the next chapter, I was certain must still return back to Lila and the joy she brings to our lives.
Taking inspiration from a former planner and organizational sticker business we owned from 2014-2017, “Daydream Planning”, we knew this was the right fit for this new chapter as soon as we first spoke the words… Daydream Made.
